Cinders is a 7 month old collie girl. She needs ongoing training and probably wouldn't be an ideal first dog, but to be fair to her the poor love is not getting anything like the exercise that she should due to not having had her vaccs yet. She will need a home where someone is around most of the time to put the training into her. She will need both physical exercise and mental stimulation. A bored collie is not a good collie

I've not been able to do much with Cinders yet as she has not had her 2nd vacc and has also had an upset tummy. She seems to have recovered now though and is eating well.

She's gradually learning that all four feet and a bottom on the floor means that she will get some attention. She still needs to learn that her paws belong on the floor and not all over other surfaces, but she's getting there.

Her training is coming along: she is pretty much house trained, with only the odd accident when I am too slow in letting her out Roll Eyes . She is learning her name, 'come' and 'sit'. Also 'down'. She sleeps downstairs in her crate quietly all night.

She gets on well with Taffy my other foster. They play together nicely most of the time. She will always let him have the toys or food if he wants them with no argument.

She seems to have been under-socialised, so she finds some things a bit scary. This results in a little bit of shouting on her part, but it's fairly minimal and she works well for sausages or scattered kibble. When she sees strangers she is now doing very well with looking at the scary person then looking at me for sausages.

I took her over to some private farmland today where there are no other dogs, so her and Taffy had a lovely time running about all through the fields She was doing quite well at recall for sausages and at no time looked as though she would ever run off. She is, however a little travel sick. She is not too keen on getting in the car and can be a bit ill on a longish journey (or it could be my driving). It's not a huge problem and I'm sure she will get over it with a little bit of input.
