Darcy has come back to us, we don't think she got on well being an only dog. She would benefit from being homed with a sociable dog who is happy with strangers/other dogs to help build her confidence. She is chasing, bikes and joggers and barking at visitors and is undergoing assessment at the moment. Her foster carer is doing some training with her but anyone who homes her will need to continue working with her. Darcy is a very loving little dog, she is coming on leaps and bounds in her foster home and she is worth a little bit of effort.
Update - 28/10/07 - Darcy is a little pocket sized collie x with the most gorgeous ears. She is a little scared of the outside world and will need someone with patience and time to spend with her.
She is a loving gentle dog and gets on well with other dogs, cats and children. At first she ignored our cat as there were much more interesting smells around, though later she respectfully had a good sniff of his bottom and they are now happily both curled up asleep on the sofa.
She is an inquisitive little girl and was watching every car that passed us on the trip back, she was also very interested in watching the rear wiper (once she realised it wasn't going to bop her).
So far she has been clean in the house and is coming along with some basic commands, she loves her food and is eager to please which helps... She is happy to dish out kisses and cuddles and is happy to curl up on your lap, or play with the other dogs. She doesn't seem to know what toys are, but this is something we will happily be teaching her.
Darcy currently has some wounds on her neck from when she was in kennels, but they are healing up nicely and don't seem to cause her any problems.
Update - 23/10/07 - Darcy went out on her trip today and walked well on her lead and showed herself to be a little cuddle monkey, she really will make someone a lovely companion.
Darcy is a pretty small Collie cross female, beautifully big pointy ears, needs lead work and some introduction to the big wide world but dog and people friendly, not cat tested.
