Dougal - lovely 4 month old collie x

Dougal
Breed: Collie x
Age: Approx 4 months
Cat friendly: Yes
Dog friendly: Yes
Child friendly: Not tested
Fostered: Currently in kennels, foster home required

Dougal is a beautiful collie x. He went into a foster home for a couple of days, and has now moved to kennels. An update from the lady who looked after him: "He is highly intelligent, I managed to teach him three comands in three minutes, told him once, showed him and he did it straight away! He is very eager to please,so loving and very, very focused on the human he chooses. His recall is superb, he recalled to his name as soon as he learnt it,which was brilliant. He bounds up with his lovely lolappy paws wanting a hug! Awww,I'm so sad just thinking of it! He was only here two days and I'm already in love! He has the most beautiful greeny/hazel eyes I wish you could see how pretty they are in the pics! He loved the cat,but was very boisterous so may be too much for a quiet dog (if he was to live with another one). Another thing! He makes lovely little noises when he wants something, which is very cute.

He will need all basic training, house training etc but this will be very easy as he is extremly biddable. I think he may be younger than we guessed and he may be quite a big boy. He will make who ever he chooses a very, very happy owner. He is simply stunning. He is frightened of travelling, so I think he may nneed help with this, he salivates and shudders, really is terrified of being in the car. Very reluctant to get in. I used a wrap blanket on him and this seemed to calm him down. He needs to feel safe whilst travelling and not like he's moving around too much. Maybe a covered crate or something as he got frightened at buses and lorries going past. He also seemed frightened of having his lead on. He tailed if I went to put it on. With some gentle training and patience, this guy will really make someone a fantastic companion."

If you would like to offer Dougal a home please contact us. Adoptions will be subject to a satisfactory homecheck and a minimum donation.

All this playing is tiring
