Title: Advice needed on dog food
Post by: Sandy-Paws on May 07, 2014, 18:17:57 pm
Hey Guys,
Can you give me some advice on Arden Grange food and James Wellbeloved? (or any others you feel are particularly good)
My daughter has a JRT miniature, who was on Advanced Nutrition from Pets at Home for years but started to be sick so wondered if any ingredients could have changed, so put her on IAMS as we thought it would be ok, but after 2 months on it, she is gaining weight and her temperament has changed too, more possessive with toys and overactive.
Help! We want her to have the best so any stories/experiences we will be happy to hear! :)

I feed Poppy Arden Grange, as it's the only one she's happy to eat lol I haven't had any problems with it. Her temperament hasn't changed, and I wouldn't say she's put on a lot of weight. They do do different types, for different activity levels.

I feed Dex & Anya on James Wellbeloved and have also used Burns.  Both are good with no horrible additives.

I've also heard good things about Lily's Kitchen but haven't tried it.

I changed Bella to Lily's Kitchen from Burns as it is grain free and higher meat content. She is doing well on it.

Hi, Saffy is on CSJ (web based but stockists locally) she loves it & has never had problems with weight or skin etc.

If you go on Arden Granges website, you can ask their advice as to which of their foods is most suitable for you dog - they are very helpful and will send samples

I changed from processed dog for and dry food to natural raw food diet, which has proven fantastic, no health problems like anal glands, poor skin and coat, bowel movements. They are brilliant on it. Highly recommended. I buy Nutriment, which is all fresh natural food, frozen then delivered to your door. Reasonable priced too.
