Gizzy is undergoing a Two week assessment so will be available for rehoming on the date 5/07/2014 applications are welcome as of now. Gizzy WILL NOT be rehomed until after he has been neutered.

Handsome little Gizzy has come into Four Paws Care due to no fault of his own. He came to us this afternoon, this lucky little lad stayed at Auntie Julies for a few days too!
From what we have seen so far he is a very gentle little boy, and hasn’t reacted to grumpy Jasper and Mr Tao shouting at him! They are all getting on well now. He has very appealing eyes set in gorgeous silky smooth fur. He also has rather charming wonky teeth! It gives him a rather rugged smile!
Gizzy is a little worried at the moment, he enjoys pottering around the garden. But, when in the house he likes to keep a safe distance, under a table! He loves his food and had no issues eating with the others in the kitchen.
We have taken him out for a little walk with the gang, and he really enjoyed it. He pottered along on the extendable after the other three. He even tried play with Tao a few times towards the end, Tao thought about obliging...then thought better of it! They have formed a little bond, Tao has been keeping his eye on him in the house.
Gizzy has got a really sore patch of infected skin on his tail and bottom at the moment, but he is on antibiotics and medicated baths to treat this. It is already looking alot better. You can see the affected area in the picture below.
We will update once we know more about this beautiful little man.

Little man Gizzy continues to be a little dream! He has us all wrapped around those fluffy little paws of his. He is very well behaved in the house, and loves a game of tug with his favourite elephant toy! (Though sometimes flavour of the day is the lion ;)) He is hilarious when he plays! He makes little grumbles to himself, and throws whatever he has around the room. He stops to look at you halfway through beaming with his wonky lil smile!

The other thing he lives for is his walkies! He walks perfectly on the lead, its completely slack even with lexie and jasper to contend with (who for the record pull like trains!) When hes off lead his recall is near enough flawless. He loves to chase after the other two down the field, and him bunny hopping through the grass is just adorable. Gizzy obviously is of the belief that life begins at 7! He is sooo young at heart, so playful and soo loving he behaves just like a pup.
If he cant get close enough to you for a snuggle, he will climb up above your shoulders (be this on the sofa or in bed!) and nuzzle his head into your shoulder. Rather like a fluffy little dog shaped scarf! Gizzy loves to dish out snogs to anyone who will let him. When he does meet people for the first time he will bark, but he does get used to the pretty quickly and you can guarantee that he will be curled up by their side within 10mins.

His tail and anal glands are healing nicely, the whole area is still quite dry, but it is getting there He will have a full bushy tail before you know it!
This boy is pretty much perfect in every way! He will make the most wonderful and loving companion for some lucky person/family.

Gizzy, has settled in so well. Tao went to his new home on Saturday and it's spurred Gizzy into requesting membership of the Lexie and Jasper gang, he now goes wherever they go! Gizzy doesn't need another dog though he's very comfortable if they are around.
Poor Gizzy came to us with a really bad infection around the base of his tail it's now responding to antibiotics and he's stopped worrying the area.He was suffering in the heat and needed a bit of a tidy up, so he visited auntie Chelle today when I took my Mums dog Jack for a cut, and had a pamper session. You wouldn't believe he's the same dog he looks so adorable and so young.
Its almost like the pamper has taken years off him, he's been for two walks this evening and has had so much more energy, he's even done a bit of playing with Jasper in the field.
Gizzy's big love at the moment are squeaky cuddly toys, he runs around with them coming close enough for you to get hold of them then he tugs!! He doesn't give up if he's tugging against me, but if Jasper takes over, Gizzy gives up and wanders off to find another toy!
Gizzy is such a lovely happy, affectionate little man, never short of kisses and if you havent noticed him you get a little touch of nose at the back of your leg just to let you know he's there, he likes nothing better than to while away his time watching everything going around him preferably cwtched in beside you on the setee. Someone is very lucky to have a Gizzy shapped hole in their lives at the moment because the perfect Gizzy is waiting here to fill it!

I have seen him on facebook looking fantastic hardly recognisable as Gizzy He is one handsome boy looking great and his skin looks so much better, bet he is feeling great. The new playful confident Gizzy pleas step forward for your perfect forever home

I had the pleasure of meeting this wonderful little chap today. He was an absolute joy, so well behaved even Izzy the diva dog didnot turn tail on him haha. How handsome he is. His skin is clearing up nicely, and those big eyes you could fall right into them. whoever meets this little boy is going to fall in love with him and will be so lucky to be able to give him a forever sofa.

Gizzy is doing so well,since his cut he's been so much more comfortable and he's running around like a puppy! He was neutered last Thursday and even that isn't holding him back, he really is so full of energy and he finds everything so exciting!
Gizzy had his cut with my Mums dog Jack and they both got on so well, he the popped back to my Mum and Dads and was very happy exploring their bungalow and finally just watching my Dad in the kitchen.
Yesterday my Sister in Law and 4 year old neice came over for the evening, gizzy was lovely with my neice even when she mistook him for part of the cushion ( He does blend into my grey fluffy cushion!!) He just watched her as she played some very exciting games with Jasper ( Well Jasper thought they were exciting!) and was very tolerant when she stroked him. He really came to life though when my Dad came over, jumping up on his lap for a cuddle as if he was an old friend. My Dad loves him!
This little man is so gentle and sweet. He loves people and loves sitting cuddled up next to you on the sofa. Out on a walk he doesnt stray too far from you and is happy to greet every dog and to play if they want too, hes trying to desperatly join in with Lexie and Jaspers games but failing them letting him he picks up any of the squeeky cuddlies around here and runs about playing with them. He really is a delight and you just need to meet him to be smitten! :D

:-* You remind me so much of one of my early foster's called Gizmo who was 12yr old Yorkie, soooooo tempted to keep him as he was a perfect boy but he went to an elderly gentleman & boy oh boy was it a match made in Heaven, someone's going to be VERY lucky to have you as their faithful companion :-*

I can not believe this gorgeous boy has not found his forever home yet is soooooooo perfect. I am sure he is a Llasa apso or a cross of this breed. He is such a fantastis boy someone is missing out on this little man. angel.gif

Gizzy is such a lovely boy and he's growing in confidence every day.when he first came here his little face was so worried but over the last few days his features have relaxed and he seems to be constantly smiling!
gizzy was very excited this morning when we went for an early morning walk he met loads of dogs and greeted them well. He followed Jasper down to the river and watched whilst Jasper had a paddle, when I threw a stone into the river Gizzy immediately wadded in to get it I had to throw another stone to get him out!
Gizzy loves to play and this afternoon we took a tennis ball to the field for the dogs to chase. gizzy loved it in the house gizzy plays fetch and tug and doesn't tire of either but when you stop he doesn't push it he then settles for a cwtch with you instead.
Gizzy really is a lovely boy he will do well in a house with other dogs or on his own he loves being here but he really would love to have a forever home.

have met this adorable chap and fingers crossed we will be allowed to adopt him. he met our cat Bella, neither one was phased, so they will be fine too.
