The minimum adoption donation for Granny is £150 is currently undergoing a 14 day assessment and will be ready for rehoming from [date]. Applications are welcome during the assessment period.
Granny came to us 2 weeks ago from the pound, she had an enormous tumour on one of her bottom teats, no teeth & most of her bottom jaw missing so her tongue hangs out :(, I thought I was bringing her here to live out whatever time she had left but I took her to the vets & they said it was operable & she came through it brilliantly ;D, she now has a new lease of life loving being able to squat/sit/lie down & have cwtches in comfort, she's soooo loving & no trouble at all, I hardly know she's here, lives quite happily with the 5 Yorkies but doesn't interact with them so possibly could be an only dog.
Travels great, even a 3 hour ride in the camper didn't bother her(with a few stops) :).
As she's done her assessment she's ready to go anytime :).

I have met this little girl and she is gorgeous a lovely little character even with her huge tumour she was a happy little soul. angel.gif
-
Love her heart a lovely story.
-
Can we get this lovely girl on to the Oldies Club Website, This girl really is a angel.gif, Maggie it's so lovely to see the change in this girl :-*
-
The "collar" she's wearing is a childs travel neck pillow, I had to take out 2 inches at the back as it was too big, she found it much more comfy than the cone (which she wore only at night).
She's now found out that she can get up on the sofa with the help of a foot stool ;) :-*
-
Granny is soooo Gorgeous :-* We had the pleasure of meeting her before she had the op. She was soo full of life, and perfectly happy - even with a whopping great tumor!
Elinor has popped in an oldies club form for her, she should be up on the site in the next couple of days :)
-
Granny says thank you Aunty Elinor :-*
-
Oh bless her, what a sweetheart :)
-
I'd like a fairly quiet home for Granny & preferably in a bungalow ::), as she can get upstairs but scared to come downstairs ;), the dogs are not normally allowed upstairs but if the gate is open she makes a "dash" for upstairs ;) :-*, she's still a very happy girl & beginning to "pester" us for a fuss ;), she's really getting the hang of this TLC thingy. :-*
-
She has such spirit, a lovely elderly lady.
-
:-* Granny says........... I don't mind living in a house as I've learnt to come downstairs on my own ;D.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
-
As they say never to old to learn clever girl
-
Well done Granny! Betsy couldn't do stairs, Auntie Julia had to sit her on her lap & bump down the stairs at first ::).
-
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Granny has a fab application in, they'll be meeting her at the weekend with their 2 other JR's, please keep everything crossed........... fingers, toes, legs & eyes ;)
-
Fingers and toes all crossed for you Granny, sure they will love you, such a lovely girl xx

:'( :'( :'( Sadly yesterday Granny had what looks like a stroke, very wobbly sideways & her head tilts to the right, her eyes were flickering fast side to side, she could hardly walk, I took her to the vets yesterday & again today, she's quite a bit more spritely today :), following me as she used to but still has the wobble & tilt, her eyes aren't flickering so fast today :).
The vet said it could be a stroke/infection/secondary tumour (from the one she's just had removed) or a bleed to the brain :'(, she's now on antibiotics & will go back to the vets Wednesday for a check up (sooner if I think she's showing signs of deterioration).
I've just rang the lovely couple who wanted to adopt her (the lady had been away with work for 3 days & wasn't back until this evening & I didn't want her to read it on the forum, they were upset naturally but more concerned that Granny was happy & settled with me, no way can Granny be rehomed as yet but they said if she recovers they'll still be more than happy to have her, they're wonderful people & I was overjoyed when I saw their application.
Please send strong get well wishes to Granny, she's such a trooper & doesn't deserve this after all she's been through :-*
-
Oh Maggie - you must have been devastated when you realized what had happened. Come on Granny - don't let all this newfound happiness disappear when you've only just discovered it. You've overcome heaven knows what hurdles in the past - you can cope with this one. But whatever happens, Granny is in the safest hands with you, Maggie. Knowing she is loved must matter so much to her at a time like this. Thinking of you both.
-
Aah love her heart, come on Granny your made of strong stuff, sending lots of love to Granny and you Maggie xxx
-
Big hugs to you both xx
-
:-*Granny says thank you all for your kind wishes, I slept all night & I am quite chipper this morning, I'm able to follow Mamma much better ;) :-*
-
Wonderful news....she is truly an amazing Granny....
-
Pleased to hear Granny is a little better today x
-
Good news, keep getting better Granny xx
-
Glad to hear Granny is feeling brighter and wonderful news that a forever sofa is there when she is well enough. However for now she is in the best place possible with Maggie and bus pass pack xx
We were discussing her at all Creatures today with a lady who was horrified that a girl of Granny's years and condition could be abandoned.
-
Yep Audrey & sadly it happens way too often :'(
-
;D Granny is continuing to amaze us, she now goes in & out the back on her own ( 4 inch step)& now manages to get on & off the sofa (with the help of the footstool that's always there) ;D, she's still a little bit wobbly & her head a little bit tilted but boy oh boy she's a determined little soul :-*
-
Awesome bless granny, myself and my daughters wishing granny all the best and willing her to stay strong old girl :-* :-* :-*
-
Granny had her urine tested as she wee's inside & out quite a lot, tests came back normal so maybe the stroke has made her incontinent :(, other than that she's still improving & enjoying life. :-*
-
Granny you are amazing little girl keep improving angel.gif
-
Hi Maggie, how is Granny doing?
I have been following the thread and keeping my fingers crossed for her to get better...?
-
:) Granny is much the same, still a bit of head tilt & the occasional wobble, sleeps a lot but still a very happy, nosey girl who'll follow me around when awake, she adores a cuddle, loves her food & a tootle around in the garden. xxxxxxxxxxx
-
Good to hear she is enjoying live, food and cuddles - what else do you need? ;) x
-
She is having just the perfect life for a granny Granny
