I hope it's ok to post, as she wasn't a Four Paws dog, but we said goodbye our Maggie May this evening  :'(

She was our family pet, rescued from Battersea Dogs Home in 2005 when I was 15. She's been a massive part of my families life, keeping my Mum (somewhat!) sane through her battle with MS before she made the decision to have her come live with me to get some TLC in the last months of her life.

It's been an awful day, and it's broken my heart so say goodbye to her - it feels like she's been a part of my life forever. We will miss her more than I can say and I feel so blessed to have had her in my life.

Em,  she was a gorgeous little girl every photo you've posted of her show how happy and loved shes always been. Run free at the bridge lovely girl. Big hugs to all those that will miss you so much. xx

Em, so very, very sorry.  It's always tough to say goodbye but it must be doubly so for you because you and Maggie more or less got through the formative years together.  The teens aren't easy but I remember that sharing them with a dog made everything brighter.  And what a dog you had - giving so much to you all.  So glad that she had you with her again in the last days - it must have made her very happy to share them with her best friend. Thinking of you and of Maggie now. A xx

Thank-you so much for all the lovely comments everyone - my house feels so quiet. She was so special and although her start in life wasn't the best (she was a terrified wreck when we brought her home) she had 10 years of love with us. What she gave back to us was far more than we could ever give her xx

Such a special girl, giving you all comfort when you needed it, she is running happily over the bridge, playing with her new friends.  She had the best years of her life with you and will be sadly missed but never forgotten...  sending you all huge hugs xx

 :'( Having met Maggie, Paul & I are sooooo sad to hear that Maggie has made her final journey to the Bridge, she was an amazing girl who loved you as much as you & Matt loved her, what a long & wonderful life she had, 1st with Mum & then with you, she's left a massive hole in your hearts & your lives but please take comfort in the knowledge of the wonderful memories you've stored up over the years.xxxxx
