Buster has settled into foster quite well. He was nuetered just after he arrived and has been feeling very sorry for himself :(

Buster is a lovely lil chap who gets on well with the other dogs at his foster home despite being a lil down and having to wear "the lamp shade" and take lots of tablets! ^-^ We don't think we have seen the real Buster yet due to this. We do know that he is very loving and likes a cwtch and I'm sure he will be back to his normal self once the "lampshade" is removed ;)

Buster travels well when crated in the car. He does not like cats, he will bark and try to chase them when out on the lead and when he sees them in the window!
More updates to follow as we get to know him better :luv:

:-* :-* :-* :-* Aw Tracey you've got a lil cracker there especially dat face & dem ickle legs. ;) :-* :-* :-* :-*

Oh my word what scrummy lil man :-* I love them teefs!

Buster has been back to the vets and all is looking good :)
No more pills but he does have to keep his "lampshade" on for a few more days as he's a licker ::)
He is feeling much better & we are starting to see the real Buster now :winktongue:
Buster is quite timid at feeding times and will hang back while the other pooches eat so we are feeding him in a separate area. He is extremely gentle when taking treats ( uses his tongue not teeth )
He has no problem getting up on the sofa for snuggles which he loves or jumping up at the window in true Bichon style to have a heated conversation with any passing cats!! (There's quite a few around my area)
We have added to his name .... In our house he is now known as "Buster Door Step" the reason being if you put your shoes on he thinks your going out, he lies in the door way so when going from room to room you have to step over him. ^-^
Needless to say he loves going out for a walk  In Busters mind the sight of a pair of shoes, a coat/jacket or the jingle of keys/lead all mean it's time for walkies and if someone leaves the house without him he just sits by the front door and gives you those big sad eyes & whimpers then comes for a cwtch :luv:
We have left Buster home alone with the other pooches for a few hours and he copes very well. After the initial whimper & a bark or two he does settle down and is quiet. angel.gif

Why was Buster brought into your care please?.
-
It was due to his owners circumstances changing and being unable to take him to there new home.

That is so sad.

Is there a medical reason for dry food only?. My little dog was but my vet recommends both dry and wet unless there is a medical reason. Love this little chap.Thanks.

No medical reason, it varies from dog to dog but in some cases wet food causes upset tummies. Dry food is also good for a dog that likes to graze :) We do recommend that adopters stick with the same food as a dog has been fed in his/her foster home initially, and make any changes gradually.

I've found that a dry food diet helps keep their teeth clean, my 1st dog (a Westie) was only fed wet & she had to have her teeth cleaned every year, mine have mainly dry with a little bit of wet as they won't eat only dry......... fussy little so & so's ;).xxxx
