This week we have mostly larger dogs. They are all overdue and must be moved to foster or rescue space by Tuesday 23rd or they will be killed... sorry there is no nice way of putting this.
;D Safe and in fosterFirst... this is the petrified Spaniel cross that was so scared he appeared to be nasty... When Kathryn & I first went into the building, he was right at the back of his cell, shaking like a leaf & growling. At first I did not think I could get close enough to get some pictures.

But then after about 20 mins of creeping slowly towards him we managed with some gentle talk (and treats) to slowly touch him.

And eventually he accepted that i was not going to hurt him and he relaxed enough to eat a treat out of my hand and accept me.

As we were leaving, he came forward and I was able to pet him through the bars.

This poor lad needs a quiet foster placement where he will be able to adjust at his own pace. I'm sure that he will come around and it be a very rewarding job to see him recover with lots of TLC.
Moving on... second is this lovely young Rottie girl. possibly 2/3 years old (TBC) Very friendly and with a long tail....

***URGENT SPACE STILL NEEDED***Third, a young (maybe 2 ish) Mastif type bitch, very thin, may have had pups, again very friendly.

Forth, An older 5+ Lurcher boy... very calm & gentle (broke my heart leaving him behind) Foster space now offered for this lucky boy

Fifth This little lad is i believe a Shihtzu but his coat is so matted and in desperate need of a groom/cut it's hard to tell... He has got 2 lovely brown eyes... Foster space offered for Monday

And last this lovely GSD, Very playful, (as you can see) needs a good groom, and is a bit thin... Now safe in foster..
