Bigger dogs are always more difficult to find safe foster homes.... but thankfully the GSD is now safe in foster... but we still desperately need places for the others..... if you usually only like small dogs... just think of the Rottie or Lurcher etc as a double decker  Beagle/Whippet....

We're taking the Lurcher boy  :woohoo:
He's arriving today  :woohoo:  Only trouble is we cannot yet decide on a name. A while ago I promised the grandchildren they could choose names if the dogs didn't already have one. They have so far come up with Lightening, McQueen, Doodles.  :dunno: You won't find us calling those names out and about! :hide:  So will wait til he's here and then say a few and see how he

We dont usually look too closely at this thread as we cant foster with our three big dogs :( But I saw mention of an AM Bulldog and could not resist having a look. She is lovely, and the rottie too:)

We hope they all find refuge, all you fosterers do such a fantastic job!

 Does the Rottie have a foster or rescue offer yet? Denise at Vale Cat Rescue has also started taking in dogs, has a Rottie herself (and has had them for years) and recently rescued and rehomed 5 other Rotties.  May be worth a phone call. She is a lovely lady, that I met in the vets the other day.

Great, even if she can't take her, she may know someone who can.

How was the Spaniel x boy today? Did you make any more progress with him? He looks like a lovely boy. :luv:

Yes... 4 down 2 to go,.... I'm worried about the prospects for the Rottie & the Bull..... breeds like this are perceived as difficult to rehome and just disappear sometimes........

I know, they both look so lovely too. :cryblow:  That is why I thought of Denise with the Rottie, as I know they are her passion.  The AB looks beautiful aswell.  We are away for a week from tomorrow or I would have been tempted to dog and child test either of them.  Can't bear to think of either of them PTS. :weeping:

As with every rescue at the moment I think these are full, But you may aswell try them as it could save one of the bigger dogs, and they may know someone/fosters etc

Only the Am Bull girl to find a space for, I'm hoping with the help of the others we've moved and we've freed some spaces at the pound we can offer to pay to keep her safe until we can move her as we have no space in the other kennels we use.
