This handsome Labrador boy is Rex and is just over a year old.
Rex needs to come into our care through no fault of his own. He is worried by the young children in the home and for that reason we are looking to place him either in adult only home or one where children are aged 10+ – we would consider younger if they are dog savvy and depending on introductions. He is microchipped & vaccinated. Not neutered yet but this will be arranged asap.
We have assessed him in his home and this is what our volunteer had to say about him:
“With regards to Rex….he is a lively, happy and excitable 1 year old black Labrador. He enjoys playing and likes lots of attention. He would benefit from training to allow him to be more relaxed. In is excitement he can become quite nippy (typical pup/youngster) but there is no malice, aggression or force behind it from what I saw. He is toilet trained, understands some commands and I am told he is good around other dogs.
He isn’t getting the exercise that he needs at the moment and doesn’t go off lead so some work will be needed on his recall training – he’s a bright boy and will learn quickly.”
Can you offer Rex the home he deserves?
|Other Requirements||Would benefit from reward based training.|
