Quote from her new owner, "I simply can't understand why some moron threw this dog away. Cassie is an absolute star ... Have just come back from a really tough, four hour walk on icy, snowy tops. We have done seven miles so Cassie must have done at least 11 and she is still asking for more. You didn't tell me it was impossible to tire this dog out! She has given Millie [cocker] a new lease of life."
Cassie was a 5-year-old cocker spaniel who had been dumped in a local authority pound. She arrived at her Four Paws foster home matted, smelly, filthy, full of fleas, and very scared. Shortly after her foster carer took her to the vets for treatment as she was in pain from a urine infection, along with an infection in her eyes and ears, and many rotten teeth. When she was neutered 2 days later the vet removed 13 teeth. Once she'd recovered her true sweet nature began to come out. After 3 weeks we rehomed her to a lovely couple living in the wilds of Cumbria with their other rescue cocker spaniel where she's thriving and enjoying life to the full at last.
