I had been searching for a cat friendly dog for almost a year when I discovered Maddy on the Four Paws website. I enquired about her very quickly and was fortunate enough to have been the first of many, she was reserved for us and we picked her up on October 26th. She has been an absolute delight! She settled in very quickly and has soon discovered where the "treat" cupboard is!

At first she would follow me everywhere I went in the house -terrified I was going to leave her - but now will even go out into the garden alone. She loves to run across the fields when we're out walking and is so well behaved when on the lead - I have to admit I do take credit for her behaviour when told by strangers how good she is. The one concession we have made is that we allow her to sleep on the bed when we're out, this comforts her and she just sleeps the whole time. And yes, she really is cat friendly! (infact she's everything friendly!) she and my youngest cat love to share the bed & both cats give Maddy a little "kiss" when they meet! Shopping days are the funniest as all three scuttle around the bags to see what lovely food I've brought home! She is the most laid back dog I have ever met! I'm considering offering her as a "pets as therapy" dog in the future as she loves meeting people & they her. Maddy was fortunate to have a wonderful foster carer , Maggie, whose love & kindness made such a difference to how Maddy behaved I'm sure. Thank you Four Paws for allowing us to adopt Maddy! We can't imagine life without her now!!
