Vixen has come back into us as she missed the company of other dogs in her new home and was a little boisterous for the new owners. We are therefor looking for a home with a doggy companion.
Hello everyone, this is Vixen (Vicky for short). She is a small red & white collie bitch, you can see why see was named Vixen as has a foxy face and when she was out running through the long grass this morning you could have easily mistaken her for a fox.
I picked her up from the pound on Wednesday (was that only yesterday) so I cannot give a full evaluation yet but she is very lively, loves people & other dogs sometimes a little OTT.
I do not know her age yet but she acts like a young dog (approx 12/18 mths). She has met the cats and got a smack on the nose from one of them, so she chased it upstairs. I do not think she would have hurt it but I am keeping a eye on her and will report back once she has had a better chance to settle in.
Out for a walk today, she went well on the lead and her recall once off the lead was excellent.
Her house training is not 100% yet but she has only had a few accidents. She will need a bit of basic training but I have no doubt she will make a superb family pet/companion.
